DESCRIPTION:DESTINATION: Brasso Seco \nEVENT DESCRIPTION:\nThe quaint village of Brasso Seco lies deep within our Northern Range. Enveloping this village is a pristine forest which contains several fascinating rivers\, pools and waterfalls. On this particular trek\, we venture to four waterfalls: Double River Falls (2 waterfalls)\, Sobo and Vine/Buddha Waterfalls. \n  \n***Easy option – Double River Falls (2 falls)***\nTake the 45 min hike to the larger of the Double River Falls and visit the smaller of the 2 falls on the return.\nRating: 3.5 out of 10 (1= very easy\, 10 = very strenuous) \n  \no Intensity: Easy\no Hike Duration:\n> Time going: 45 mins\n> Time at each destination: 1 – 2 hours\n> Time returning: 45 mins \n  \n***Fair to Moderate option – Double River falls & Vine (3 waterfalls)***\nTake the 45 min hike to the larger of the Double River Falls. Another 30-minute walk along a flat trail which can be very muddy at times and then a 20-minute upriver walk will lead to Vine/Budda Falls. On the return journey\, we take a 10-minute detour to visit the smaller of the 2 falls near Double River Falls.\nRating: Level 4 out of 10 (1= very easy\, 10 = very strenuous) \n  \no Intensity: Fair to Moderate\no Hike Duration:\n> Time going: 2 hours\n> Time at each destination: 1 hour\n> Time returning: 2 hours \n  \n***Moderately challenging option – Double River falls\, Sobo and Vine/Buddha (4 waterfalls)***\nTake the 45 min hike to larger of the Double River Falls and visit the smaller of the 2 falls on the return. Here you must sign our attendance register with an emergency contact included\, get a wristband and a vehicle ribbon tag. The group will then be briefed on the drive to the start of the hike. We depart as a group and drive in convoy style to the start of the hike\, where we will park our vehicles and do an official briefing to commence the hike. \n  \nCOST:\n$100.00 per hiker\nAll payments are made through Republic Bank\, either online transfer or in bank deposits (at the Teller or using the Fast Deposit option)\nThese costs do NOT include transportation.\nVehicle security contribution: $30 per vehicle to have someone stay with the vehicles while we are away. This is payable in cash on the morning. Is attendee a swimmer or non-swimmer? \n  \nMost hikes are not suitable for children under the age of 3 years. No babies in arms/baby backpacks or strollers will be allowed. Exceptions will be made for our very experienced and fit hikers\, who have navigated similar trails with their kids.\nSome medical conditions may hamper your ability to participate in certain hikes and as such\, please discuss this when making your booking. \n  \nPREPARATION GUIDELINES:\nIf you are a first time hiker\, please use this list of recommended hiking essentials for your personal preparation\n1. At least 2L of potable water (refilling in rivers and streams along the way is not recommended)\n2. Juice/energy drinks\, snacks\, sandwiches (ensure packaging is watertight if hike is water based)\n3. Small garbage bag for your personal trash\n4. Sun Protection: Sunblock/ Hat/ Sunglasses\n5. Short or Long pants/tights and loose tops recommended\, bathing suits can be worn underneath\, if you choose to wear short pants\, please opt for a long socks to protect skin from scrapes and bruises\n6. Comfortable footwear\, sneakers with good grips or hiking boots are a MUST! (Check for any signs of it unsticking or dry rotting)\n7. Insect Repellent – OFF\, Citronella Oil or Odomos\n8. Personal Medication\n9. A comfortable backpack (with 2 straps) leaving your hands free to navigate trail help or a friend\n10. Waterproof protection for cell phone/camera & anything that cannot get wet (if you are using Ziploc bags\, please double or triple up on them)\n11. Towel\, change of clothing and footwear (e.g. slippers) to be left in the vehicles\n12. Plastic bag for your wet clothes\n13. Some fresh water left in vehicles to rinse off after hike (mud is to be expected at all hikes) \n  \nSAFETY CHECKLIST:\nWe take every precaution to ensure that you and your loved ones are taken good care of at any of our events.
