DESCRIPTION:The play OBEAH\, written by Norvan Fullerton in 1986 has often been referred to as a Calypsoretta or simply as a Calypso Musical.  \nIt has been documented as one of the earliest Calypso musicals performed in Trinidad and Tobago. \nOriginally performed and copping the first prize at the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition in 1986\, Obeah was staged at the Little Carib Theatre for the Carnival of 1987.  \nIt was last presented for the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition in 2014\, copping 2nd place. \nThe Malick Folk Performing Company takes great pleasure in taking you on this musical journey using the form of Calypso as the major medium through which our stories are told.
