SUMMARY:Hike to Peechon Cove\, North Coast - Moderate Difficulty
DESCRIPTION:Peechon Cove is one of 9 secluded beaches on the North Coast and is part of the vast La Vache Bay. It is only accessible by hiking\, boat or swimming from one of the other beaches. The trail starts from the North Coast Road and from here we make our way downhill along a trail that takes us through a serene forest. \n  \nOn getting to the beach\, immediately the cove will take your breath away with a landscape carefully carved and reworked by the ever constant wave action into the cove. The notorious 20 foot cliff beckons the adrenaline junkie to take a plunge into the aquamarine waters below. For the more conservative hiker\, we recommended donning your life jacket for an exhilarating dip in the warm\, inviting waters to wash some of life’s worries away or just relaxing on the sand. As luck would have it\, there is also a small waterfall which comes in oh so handy for rinsing purposes to get some of the salt off for the uphill climb back to the top. Peechon Cove is a must on our bucket list and an every year favorite for the seasoned hiker. We will be pleased to get the opportunity to take you there. \n  \nA booking is required for all our events. HIKE INFORMATION: \n  \n• Location of start of hike: Blanchissuese\n• Approximate start time of hike: 8 am\n• Approximate end of hike: 1 pm \n  \n• Difficulty Rating: 2 out of 10 (1= very easy\, 10 = very strenuous \n• Intensity: Easy \n  \n• Hike Duration:\no Time going: 15 – 30 mins\no Time at destinations: 1 – 2 hours\no Time returning: 15 – 30 mins \n  \nTerrain Description: The trek takes us along a short river walk from where we are parked then through picturesque forests that beautifully shade both sides of the river making the walk cool and enjoyable. For the more adventurous hiker\, there is the option to climb to various levels of the waterfall and take the feet-first plunge into the pool below. \n  \nAll quoted times are based on average driving & hiking times and can vary based on traffic\, the fitness of the group and how fast we move\, the amount of rest stops taken\, any unforeseen variations in the terrain (e.g. fallen trees)\, the weather etc. \n  \n???? SUMMARY:Hike to Turere Watersteps (kid friendly) - Easy Difficulty
DESCRIPTION:One of our most enjoyable hikes yet! This destination is as magical as it is breathtaking. \n  \nEVENT DESCRIPTION:\nWithin the forests of Cumaca lies a series of three beautiful spread type waterfalls\, where curtains of water cascade down limestone faces. These waterfalls are immediately after each other along the Turure River. At the base of each waterfall is a pool that invites you to take a swim. The third waterfall has several pools as the limestone forms a firm base for the river as it flows downstream. Here the pools are of varying depth with some being very shallow and some being deep enough to take the plunge off the top of the limestone rocks.\nA booking is required for all Palance868 events. \n  \nHIKE INFORMATION:\no Difficulty Rating: Level 3/10 (check hike ratings below)\no Intensity: Easy to fair\no Duration (one way): 40 mins to 1 hour\no Terrain Description: A relatively easy hike (dependent on one’s fitness) through the forest. \n  \nThere is 1 moderate uphill climb about 10 mins into the hike. The majority of the hike is along trails that run either parallel to or along the river. We cross the river at a few shallow points & no more than 2 feet\, at these crossings\, your shoes will get wet. The trail usually has parts that will be muddy if there was any rain the week prior to this hike and the roots and rocks can be slippery therefore shoes/sneakers with good grips are highly recommended. There is no mandatory swimming involved in this hike unless you decide to swim at the destination. \no Location of start of hike: Cumaca\, Valencia\no Approximate start time of hike: 7:30 am\no Time at destination: 30 – 45 mins\no Approximate end of hike: 1-2 pm\nThese times are based on average driving & hiking times and can vary based on traffic\, the fitness of the group and how fast we move\, the amount of rest stops taken\, any unforeseen variations in the terrain (e.g. fallen trees)\, the weather etc. \n  \nASSEMBLY INFORMATION:\nAssembly Time: 6:30 am\nAssembly Point: The Food Basket Arima\nWhen you arrive at the meeting point\, please locate our hike leaders\, attired in red\, black and orange Palance868 T-shirts. Here you must sign our attendance register with an emergency contact included\, get a wristband and get a vehicle ribbon tag. The group will then be briefed on the drive to the start of the hike. We depart as a group and drive in convoy style to the start of the hike\, where we will part our vehicles and do any official briefing to commence the hike.\nCOST:\nTT $75 per person (transportation not provided) \n  \n  \nFor those driving\, there is a $30 security contribution PER VEHICLE to have someone tend to our vehicles while we are away.\nHOW TO BOOK:\nA booking is required for all Palance868 events for safety and group size control. Come and enjoy nature at its best. This beauty has bands of rocks encircling it’s emerald green water creating a relaxing atmosphere. DESCRIPTION:There are many hidden beaches along the beautiful North Coast of Trinidad which spans approximately 40 miles of luxurious coastline. However 8 of those are only accessible on foot by hiking. These 8 hidden treasures lie between Paramin and Maracas. They are S’aut Deau\, Paragrant\, Negmawah\, Peechon Cove\, Cyril Bay\, Lover’s Bay\, Balata Bay and Maraqueet Bay. On the 28th March\, Palance868 takes you to Paragrant Bay to enjoy all the exotic scenery along this gorgeous expedition. This hike can be done via trails only or as a loop which involves steep inclines along the way and a combination of forest trails\, gravel and concrete roadways that boast of some of the most breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. \n  \nFor proper accountability & group size control\, a booking is required for all our hikes.\nCall/text/WhatsApp us at 747-9655 to book. \n  \nWhen booking please provide the following:\n1) A full name and cell contact (indicate age if under 18 years old)\n2) Any major medical issues. We are kicking the season off with DynoDay #1 at Dynolab\, Williamsville. Please click the link above and fill out the “Google Form” so we can register you for DynoDay #1. \n  \nDynoday #1 – 21st January\, 2024. \nLocation: Dynolab – Williamsville. \n  \nDynoDay is where we measure the Wheel Horsepower and weight of all competitor vehicles\, as well as take note of any performance mods done to the vehicle so we can classify all competitors in an even class to make competition as balanced as possible. This means that any vehicle\, regardless of performance\, can compete against vehicles with similar specifications. \n  \nDyno\, weighing and inspection: $200. \nMembership: $150 \n  \nNote that in order to be eligible to qualify for the Championship and receive championship points\, competitor vehicles MUST be Dynoed\, Weighed and Inspected (by a CARS Committee member).
