DESCRIPTION:This semester\, the UAJE boasts local\, regional and international musicians. To celebrate this diversity\, the repertoire for this year’s concert will represent the various styles of jazz music performed in the various countries that are represented in the ensemble…….plus more!\n \n\nThe UAJE will perform jazz music from countries such as Antigua and Barbuda\, Poland\, St. Lucia\, Ethiopia and Brazil. The pieces include jazz styles such as Bossa Nova Fusion\, dissonant New Age Jazz and even reharmonized variations of folk music. Jazz music from Trinidad and Tobago will be heard in the form of the director’s latest original composition entitled “Fresh Start”. The piece was composed to commemorate the return to in-person teaching and learning following the recent pandemic.\n \n\nWe invite you to let the UAJE take you on a trip around the world with jazz music!
