4 October @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$300Get ready for Black Collar Creative Foundation’s inaugural event, ‘The Black Collar Gala: Classics and Calypsos’, featuring Desperadoes Steel Orchestra, the inimitable voices of Natalia Dopwell, Alicia Jaggasar, Dr.
Edward Cumberbatch and classical pianist, Alan Cooper on October 4th, 2024 at Queen’s Hall at 7pm, in commemoration of Calypso History Month.
The Black Collar Creative Foundation was established in memory of Janine Charles-Farray, a known Marketing/PR practitioner in the Creative Sector, Playwright, multiple award-winning TT Musical Festival winner and former Lydians contralto soloist and inaugural Board member.
A passionate advocate for the arts, Janine, in her lifetime, devoted herself to empowering members of the creative sector in Trinidad and Tobago.
A significant highlight of this was her work to support and help artists access funding during the pandemic through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts.
Black Collar Creative Foundation was incorporated and registered as a non-profit in October 2023.
The foundation is grateful and fortunate to have Ms.
Rhoma Spencer as its esteemed Patron.
In keeping with the Foundation’s mission to assist creative sector entities with their start-ups or special projects and to provide support, donations and contributions received from our fundraiser will go towards the establishment of two grants:
1.
The Black Collar Grant – to support artists or creative entities with seed funding for start-up initiatives/projects in the creative sector.
2.
The J.C.F.
Creative Capacity Grant – targets NPO/NGOs and/or schools with creative capacity projects in the field of music, dance, photography, art or film.
