CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF CULTURE NETWORKLungu pronounced [Loon-Goo] is the Hausa word for “Corridor/Alley/Passage” and is typically characterized as a midsized passage between two buildings or structures.Growing up in Bauchi, Nigeria, Lungus were a safe space away from parental interference.
For kids and youth to play and have fun; dance off, dambe (wrestle) and generally to express self and share that sacred unadulterated experience. This inspired the name of this series, Lungu; an affordable and accessible safe space curated for expression and the fostering of Afro-fusion with creole sounds and entertainment.Follow @cultrntwrk to stay tuned!
