The Friends of Ken proudly present the Kenneth Fitzpatrick Memorial Junior Chess Tournament, an exciting event that celebrates the spirit of competition and the legacy of a passionate chess player!
Taking place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, this FIDE-rated, seven-round Swiss tournament is designed exclusively for junior players (U20, U16, U12), offering a thrilling platform for young talents to showcase their skills. With prizes awarded to the top six players in the Under-12, Under-16, and Under-20 categories, the tournament promises to be a memorable day for chess enthusiasts of all levels.
Hosted by the Trinidad & Tobago Chess Association, the tournament will be held at Centenary Hall, St. Mary’s College, Port of Spain.
Registration is $60, and participants will compete under a time control of 15 minutes per player with no increment.
