Come expand your knowledge of the dynamics of gender equality and explore the nuances of contemporary advocacy related to regional and global gender and development issues. Join us on campus this summer for the 6-week (12-session) IGDS Short Course.

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Location: SALISES Conference Room, The UWI, St Augustine

Target Participants:
Representatives of workplaces or organizations managing gender issues, human resource managers, welfare officers, social workers, teachers, educational professionals, undergrad and graduate students, university staff, academics, and interested persons.

Fee: TT$1,000 (for participants who are not registered UWI students)

About the Course:
The course is designed to introduce students to key issues shaping contemporary advocacy related to gender equality and justice both globally and regionally. It varies each year based on consultation with the facilitator(s) and IGDS graduate teaching staff. The course includes seminars, workshops, discussions with experts, and research opportunities on gender and transformation in the Caribbean. Students will work in groups for various assignments and write short impact papers on their research topics.
