Conversations and Constellations: A Performative Reading and Film Screening /br/br Date: Wednesday, 8th May, 2024 /br/br Time: 6pm /br/br Location: Lecture Room 3, Cheesman Building, DCFA Gordon Street, St Augustine. /br/br Zoe Butler, a Fulbright awardee and New Media Performance Artist visiting from Chicago, Illinois, shares creative work generated during her ongoing research fellowship in Trinidad and Tobago. The evening features a performative lecture, accompanied by a film screening and conversation. Butler utilizes a blend of personal histories, family archives, Caribbean folklore, and sciences to explore the materiality of artifacts and Black embodiment. /br/br Her ten-month Fulbright project is hosted by The UWI Department of Creative and Festival Arts, under the mentorship of visual arts lecturer, Dr. Marsha Pearce. /br/br This event is generously supported by North Eleven and is free and open to the public.
