Obeah – A Calypso Musical

The play OBEAH, written by Norvan Fullerton in 1986 has often been referred to as a Calypsoretta or simply as a Calypso Musical.
It has been documented as one of the earliest Calypso musicals performed in Trinidad and Tobago.
Originally performed and copping the first prize at the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition in 1986, Obeah was staged at the Little Carib Theatre for the Carnival of 1987.
It was last presented for the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition in 2014, copping 2nd place.
