North Coast Road Trip!! – 7 hidden secrets after Maracas – Very Easy Hike

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
If Maracas, Tyrico, Las Cuevas are all the beaches you think you can easily visit on the North Coast on any one given day, well then, you’re in for a treat!!!

This epic North Coast Road Trip takes you to allllllll our favourite secluded spots and beaches along the way. You’d be pleasantly surprised by how picturesque and beautiful this stretch of coast is. A full day of all the awesome hidden North Coast secrets.

Amongst our stops for the duration of the day is:
1. Fort Abercromby
2. Yarra River & Beach
3. L’Anse Martin Bay
4. Jan Baptiste Bay
5. Marianne River & Bay
6 Ti Delma Beach
7. Blanchisseuse Spring Bridge

This day is packed with adventure, fun, games & trivia! Walk with your camera, swimwear and picnic basket & spread as we rediscover island living! These are the types of adventures we live for!

A booking is required for all Palance868 events.

HIKE INFORMATION:
o Rating: Level 1
o Intensity: Very easy
o Duration (one way): 10-12 hours

o Terrain Description: Mostly short, well defined trails
o Location of start of Road Trip: North Coast
o Approximate start time of event: 6:30 am
o Time at each destinations: 30 to 45 mins
o Approximate end of hike: 6:30 pm

These times are based on average driving & hiking times and can vary based on traffic, the fitness of the group and how fast we move, the amount of rest stops taken, any unforeseen variations in the terrain (e.g. fallen trees), the weather etc.

ASSEMBLY INFORMATION:
Assembly Time: 6:00 am
Assembly Point: The UDECOTT carpark opposite the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port of Spain
When you arrive at the meeting point, please locate our hike leaders, attired in red, black and orange Palance868 T-shirts. Here you must sign our attendance register with an emergency contact included and get a wristband. The group will then be briefed on the day’s activities and safety precautions. We depart promptly at 6:30 am.

COST:
TT $300 per adult
TT $275 per child (12 years & under)
These costs are inclusive of transportation, your guides, lifejackets, snacks, water and juice.

When booking, please provide the following for EACH attendee:

1. Full name & cell contact
2. Age (if under the age of 18)
3. List of any major medical issues, these include allergies, asthma, heart issues, bone, joint or muscle injuries
4. Any medication taken, name and dosage
5. Is attendee a swimmer or non-swimmer?

Some events, including this one are not suitable for children under the age of 3 years. No babies in arms/baby backpacks or strollers will be allowed.

Some medical conditions may hamper your ability to participate in certain events and as such, please discuss this when making your booking.

PREPARATION GUIDELINES:
If you are a first time Palancer, please use this list of recommended hiking essentials for your personal preparation

1. At least 2L of water
2. juice/energy drink, snacks, sandwiches
3. Sunblock
4. Light, comfortable clothing recommended, swimsuit can be worn under clothing
5. Comfortable footwear, sneakers/sandals with good grips (check for any signs of it unsticking or dry rotting)
6. Insect repellant
7. Any medication you must take
8. A comfortable backpack leaving your hands free to help yourself or a friend
9. cell phone/camera in waterproof/ziplock bags
10. 2 towels, change of clothing AND footwear (eg slippers) to kept in maxi
11. Plastic bag for your wet clothes

In the event that an event is cancelled before the day of its execution, full refunds will be issued. While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure your safety, each person who participates in any Palance868 Adventures Club event accepts full responsibility for making their own decisions and determinations for their own safety, health conditions, conduct and well-being. Each person who participates in any Palance868 Adventures Club event recognizes that possible health and safety hazards exist when attending any outdoor and/or indoor activities and agrees to participate solely at their own risk. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any person for any reason.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
➖Cancellations made more than 5 days before the event are entitled to a full refund
➖Cancellations made 5-3 days before will have 50% fee attached
➖There is a no refund policy for cancellations made less than 3 days before the event
