The Lydians Christmas Concert- “Angels Bending Near the Earth”
10 December, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
$250Christmas begins with The Lydians! The Lydians, proudly supported by First Citizens presents “Angels Bending Near the Earth” featuring The Lydian Singers and Lydian Steel, led by Musical Director Carl-Anthony Hines.
Tickets are $250
Angels Bending near the Earth is a concert which is dedicated to and contemplates ‘Angels’ – of HEAVEN and EARTH…. As the messengers and hands of God, angels can be found throughout the ages, spreading messages of hope and peace. In the earthly context, angels manifest as everyday people, moved to the selfless work of feeding the hungry, tending to the sick, and sheltering the homeless. The spreading of LOVE, JOY and HOPE is something we see in abundance during this season of light, now even more necessary, as we as people continue to transition out and through the pandemic. May we be continually in contact with, and inspired to be “Angels bending near the earth.”
The concert will share these messages of care, love, joy and hope through a blend of Christmas favourites, local and original music by some of our talented composers and arrangers, and will feature our full choir and our Lydian Steel ensemble, supported by, African and Tassa drummers, dance, and much more!!
You don’t want to miss Angels Bending Near The Earth, Saturday, December 10th (7:00 PM) and Sunday, December 11th (5:30 PM) at Queen’s Hall
